First of all you should know this, it's important to know that there are three different versions of FileZilla Client - Zipped, Installer, and Source, those are designed to serve the same purposes, but in a different way. Installer and Zipped versions only support data uploading and downloading, but the Source Code lets seasoned programmers access, edit, modify, or/and compile the source code of the FTP application due to its open-source nature. Let's first understand these versions so that it becomes easier to decide which version to choose when it comes to the FTP client.
Note: Installer and Zipped Version are not available for Mac OS or Linux.
Source Code
The Source Code version is by far the most advanced module that has particularly been designed to allow seasoned programmers to access, edit and modify the source code of the application along with offering the standard data transmission facility like the previous two versions.
